Many Ideas, Many Voices, One Mission… EXCELLENCE!

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Rockbridge Elementary – A DeKalb County School that is making a difference! I am extremely proud to be the principal of a school that truly believes that teaching and learning are the top priorities of our students, staff and parents.

Rockbridge Elementary School has a wonderful reputation of students, teachers and parents working together to help students move from good to great! I believe it is critical that we all work together to create a caring and collaborative environment that helps our students achieve to the best of their abilities. I hope you will actively participate in the school community through membership in the PTA and volunteering in your child's classroom. The success of your child depends on a strong partnership between the home, the school, and the community.

At Rockbridge Elementary School, we value our relationship with you.

My name is Alex Davis. I serve as the assistant principal for grades three through five. It is an honor to serve as assistant principal at a school that is moving from “good to great.” My educational background entails a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education, Master of Arts in Middle Grades Education, and a Specialist in Educational Leadership. Currently, I am pursuing an Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership. In the words of Rita Pierson, “Every child needs a champion.” As assistant principal, I pledge to ensure that Rockbridge provides an equitable learning experience for all students. Margaret S. Jones, Counselor

Counseling Mission Statement
To promote and enhance student success through leadership, guidance, counseling, advocacy, and collaboration, with parents, teachers, administrators, and community partners, while performing standards aligned with the ASCA National Model.  Markers of student success include academic achievement, positive behavior, middle school readiness and resiliency.

It is my pleasure to serve as the counselor at Rockbridge Elementary School.  It is my belief that a counselor should be open-minded, understanding, sympathetic, and encouraging.  With the help of all stake holders’ parents, administrators, teachers, and community leaders, our children will continue to succeed and become productive citizens in our ever changing society.
