Mr. Stanley Gaddis
Assistant Principal
Mr. Stanley Gaddis is the proud Assistant Principal at Rockbridge Elementary School. He grew up in Alabama and was educated in the Etowah county School System. He attended Xavier University in New Orleans where he received his Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) with a minor degree in business, and earned his Master’s degree in Math Education (MAT Mathematics). Mr. Gaddis earned his Tier 1 administrator’s certificate from the University of West Georgia and is currently completing a duel Tier II certificate, combined with a specialist in Educational leadership (Ed. S). Mr. Gaddis will continue his education as he pursues his doctorate in the upcoming years. He is committed to educating youth and sharing his passion as a lifelong learner with the students and staff that he encounters as he journeys through his educational career.
Prior to his appointment as Assistant Principal Rockbridge Elementary School, Mr. Gaddis served as an in-class teacher; a mathematics coach; a mathematics consultant; an Assistant Principal; and is currently in his 35th year in the education arena.
Dr. Andrea Myers
Assistant Principal
Dr. Andrea Myers serves as the Assistant Principal here at Rockbridge Elementary School. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she began teaching in 1992 with the Guilford County School System. She returned to school at North Carolina A and T State University to earn a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education in the year 2000. After relocating to Georgia in 2009, she later attended Brenau University in pursuit of her doctorate degree, which she earned in December of 2021.
Previous roles for Dr. Myers include: Curriculum Specialist for Guilford County Schools, Professional Learning Facilitator for the DCSD Office of School Improvement; MTSS Specialist, Instructional Support Specialist, Academic Coach, Professional Learning Liaison, Elementary Teacher (having taught each of grades K-5) and Middle School Teacher (having taught each of grades 6-8). She brings an abundance of educational experiences to Rockbridge Elementary.
Dr. Myers has returned to her “first love” in education, the elementary school. With the belief that ongoing professional learning is key for effective instruction, it is her goal to work with and motivate teachers to excel in all aspects of their assignment with students; this effort assures optimal growth. She is honored and proud to serve as assistant principal here at Rockbridge Elementary, as she considers it to be not only a position, but a “mission.”
